Environmental Principles

1. Sano Techno-Park Environment Committee of AKTIO Corporation, adding what we call "Rensulting" to our rental services as an added value, shall satisfy customer needs.
2. We shall carry out our business with pride, recognizing that our business is really environment-friendly and resource-saving through our enhanced inspection and maintenance services of equipment to allow the equipment to be used longer in the market repeatedly and the role we should play in the society is important.
3. In addition, recognizing that preventing environmental pollution and maintaining improving surrounding environment are the most important issues in local communities, through appropriate handling of the direct effect during our maintenance work, the indirect effect while customers are using the equipment, and the disposal of the equipment, we shall continuously play our role in society by acting in good faith, taking into consideration preserving the environment in every aspect of our business activities with SDGs in mind.

Environmental Policy

1. We shall appropriately operate our system in the processes of inspecting, maintaining equipment and repeatedly providing the equipment into the market, which form a vital part of the rental business.
2. Taking into consideration reducing environmental impact and preventing pollution by continuously improving environmental performance, we shall act accordingly, being highly conscious of protecting the environment for coexisting with local communities.
3. We shall conform to the environmental laws and regulations applicable to our business and other requirements that Sano Techno-Park Main Plant has agreed to.
4. In setting environmental goals,
   (1) We shall become more resilient and gain customer satisfaction by bolstering our inspections and maintenance.
   (2) We shall increase our production efficiency and aim at reducing environmental impact.

We at AKTIO Corporation make it our mission to meet expectations of all stakeholders, including customers, employees, and their family, and to contribute to society by providing a gating management project using biometric authentication.

Our organization uses many information assets, including personal information received from our customers during business activities. We recognize that protecting such information assets is a top priority issue in business management in order to meet the expectations of all our stakeholders.

Accordingly, we declare that we will develop a basic information security policy, construct and operate an information security management system (ISMS), and make a company-wide effort to continue to improve the system in light of changes in the environment surrounding our organizations.

In addition, our organization has set the following security objectives and ensures that a variety of measures for achieving these objectives are implemented.

• Respect and comply with contracts with customers and with legal and regulatory requirements
• Prevent information security incidents
• In the event of an information security incident, minimize its impact

At AKTIO, we are taking approaches to environmental issues with a focus on the Three Rs: 1) reduce (reduction of environmental pollutants), 2) reuse (conservation of resources and energy), and 3) recycling (recycling of materials).

Reduce / Reduction of environmental pollutants

We try to adopt machines that will contribute to our aim of reducing emissions of environmental pollutants. To this end, we take action such as proactively incorporating low-pollution models and working with manufacturers in joint development of battery-type floodlights that can be recharged.

Reuse / Conservation of resources and energy

At our Techno Park Factory in the town of Fujioka, Tochigi Prefecture, we installed a photovoltaic power generation system in order to reduce levels of utility power consumption and thereby alleviate the burden on the environment. This move was made upon a comparative study of wind power and photovoltaic systems that found the latter was usable.

Recycle / Recycling of materials

We are considering various steps, such as ending polypropylene (PP) processing of the general catalogue we distribute to customers and use of recycled paper for paper products.

We support activities of "YAMANASHI FOREST COMMISSION" to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.We have nurtured the "Forest of AKTIO" in the majestic forest of Misaka-cho and Ashigawa-cho Fuefuki-shi, Yamanashi. From the perspective of landscape preservation, the forest has been managed by repeated forest thinning and afforestation without deforestation.
